Welcome, family. My name is Richard Barrett, and I’m the 2nd owner of Kambo Healing Me. I’m also a U.S. Navy veteran—

After leaving the military, my path led me to Southeast Asia and deep into South America, where I spent years studying plant, frog, and toad medicines, as well as the ceremonial customs that surround them. I am a certified Kambo practitioner through the Matses Tribe and have been blessed to serve ayahuasca with the Tukano Tribe of Brazil.

I bring over a decade of experience working with these medicines, and I currently host ceremonies and facilitate trainings in Bufo, Kambo, and plant medicine here in the U.S., as well as internationally. I live part-time in Iquitos, Peru, where I source our medicines directly and continue to deepen my relationship with the land and the lineages.

More than anything, my focus is on safety, integrity, and integration. The medicine doesn’t begin when you sit at the mat, and it doesn’t end when the ceremony closes. We place strong emphasis on preparation, on how you show up to the experience, and on how you integrate what you receive into your life afterward.

This retreat is not about chasing an experience—it’s about listening, healing, and remembering. My role is to hold a safe, respectful container and help guide you to the medicine that is right for you, in a way that honors both the traditions and your personal journey.
